Community Groups
Getting
to know and care for other Christians within a church body is often a difficult task to achieve. Meeting other people on Sunday
morning or in other large settings can be intimidating for most people. Fellowship Bible
Church seeks to create an easy, non-intimidating means for each member
to develop long term relationships with other people in our church. Our primary means of doing this is through small groups
that meet on a regular basis in homes.
Acts 2:42-47 explains most clearly
how these small groups function. In those days small groups met together to fellowship, break bread, pray, study the scriptures
and meet the needs of those within the group. That is the model we use in each one of these small groups. We recommend that
anyone who considers themselves part of the Fellowship family get plugged into one of our Community Groups and begin to develop
friendships, learn to care for 10 to 20 fellow Christians and experience the joy of becoming part of a close family of other
believers.
Worship & Drama
Our
worship team ministry exists to lead our church family into the presence of God through the gift of music. If the Lord is calling you to serve alongside others who share your passion and gifting for music, whether
vocally or instrumentally, we welcome the addition of your unique talent and heart for worship. There are also opportunities to serve on our audio/visual team, which provides support for our services
by running sound and our projection program.
We are excited to include drama
as a creative dynamic in our services to communicate biblical truth with integrity, for the purposes of building up the body
of Christ and presenting the Gospel, as well as reinforcing the sermon’s message.
Missions
The
goal of the missions program at Fellowship Bible Church of Russellville is to actively support and encourage our missionaries
prayerfully, spiritually, and financially. It is our desire to fulfill the great commission found in Matthew 28:19-20, “Therefore,
go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach
these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end
of the age.”
We attempt, by grace, to follow God’s lead
in spreading the joy of Jesus to every tribe, tongue, people and nation, by playing our part as an effective sending church
supporting the goers God calls from our midst.
Men
The
primary goal of our men’s ministry is to learn how to become better Christian men and to learn how to be a witness of
Jesus Christ through example. We want to pursue becoming better husbands, fathers, employees, etc. During the school year
we meet every other Monday morning from 6:30 until 7:30 to enjoy a time of fellowship, food, and devotions. All men are welcome
to join at any time!
Men’s Ministry is a good opportunity for
men to fellowship together, share personal needs and grow in friendships as we pursue personal spiritual growth. Because men’s
ministry is new, we are in process of discovering exactly how we want to look as a ministry and this is a wonderful opportunity
to get in on the ground floor and help us become all that the Lord has in store for us.
Women
The goal of the women’s ministry is to glorify God by facilitating spiritual growth, service
and fellowship for the ladies of FBCR. We offer weekly daytime and evening in-depth
Bible study and prayer groups year-round (with childcare offered), as well as an annual weekend retreat and other events such
as ‘Deck the Halls’ to provide wonderful opportunities for growth and fellowship.
Mentoring relationships are encouraged as well.
Women have the opportunity
to serve through the Helping Hands ministry by providing meals, childcare, etc. to families in our body experiencing illness,
death of a loved one, a new baby, etc. Women have unique needs and giftings and
the women’s ministry exists to equip the women of our church be all that God wants them to be.
College
Several times throughout the
school year, families in our church open their homes and host a College Fellowship dinner.
It’s a great opportunity for a free home cooked meal, fellowship, meeting new people, and having fun all to the
glory of God. College students are also encouraged to be a part of community
groups and to participate in Men’s & Women’s Ministry activities.
